21. Carnegie Mellon University
Carnegie Mellon University is a private research university located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Founded in 1900 as the Carnegie Technical Schools by Andrew Carnegie, it became the Carnegie Institute of Technology in 1912. In 1967, it merged with the Mellon Institute of Industrial Research to form Carnegie Mellon University.
The university currently offers a handful of online programs to enable remote study, as opposed to actually attending the establishment.
Interestingly, in order to prepare its students for life after graduation, Cargenie Mellon University also offers an array of programs designed to help graduates, including career preparation workshops, internship information and leadership development programs.
